The Central Division leading Detroit Tigers start the 2nd half of the season at Seattle to take on the Mariners.  Seattle is looking to win its fourth straight and get even closer to first place Anaheim in the American League West. 

The Tigers come into the series off a sweep of the Boston Red Sox before the All-Star break.  The Tigers are a league-best 27-15 on the road, including seven straight. Andrew Miller (4-2, 3.31 ERA) gets the call on Thursday.  He was great against Boston going seven innings allowing just one run and three hits in his last start.
